Inventory Continues Its Declining Trend
Available real estate inventory continued to decline in February compared to January, dropping
by 3.4% in Sarasota County and 1.9% in Manatee County month over month. Only Longboat
Key showed a slight increase of 1.2%
Prices are showing a fairly consistent increase, but this is most likely temporary as the bankowned
(REO) inventory releases into the market.
Pending sales are still very strong, increasing by 14.9% in Sarasota County and 21% in
Manatee County month over month. This has been a consistent trend, pointing to a housing
market in recovery.
